Trattoria Cattaneo

This place as far as I know is an unknown gem of Santa Rosa. The food is fantastic, and so is the service and the prices are extremely fair. Tonight I had the best butternut squash ravioli of my life. My boyfriend had the chicken parm and said that it was ranked among the best he has had within the price range! It is a wonderfully local mom and pop Italian restaurant. We will definitely be back and it is most certainly and highly recommended!

This isn't the Olive Garden. A small, locally-owned restaurant the offers a homey feel, personal service, and home-cooked traditional entrees with unique twists. We read the other reviews and thought we'd give it a try and we were not disappointed. The sausage sandwich was incredible and the polenta with Gorgonzola was an amazing combination of sweet and savory. It was like comfort food taken up to the next level, as they say. We were very content with our lunch choices and will go back again next time we're in the area.

italian food... excellent. I wish there were more places like this around town. There was fast and courteous service. The place has a great feel to it. My apartment is far from here, so I can't visit often.

Cozy neighborhood haunt with dynamic atmosphere. Lots of laughter and friendly conversation. Packed... so get a reservation. Classic Italian cuisine with generous portions. Nothing fancy, but delicious. Good wine. Friendly and prompt service. Owner/chef is on the premises and talks with every table. He even accompanied us to the car to say goodnight and finish a conversation we started. Reasonable prices. This is a go-to spot for locals that we also appreciated as visitors.
