Back again for the locals that never stopped loving them. I have been desperate for a good english muffin since they shut down last spring!

When I went it was relaxing and my americano was great. Good prices too. Lovely staff. I miss the old place but this is fine and dandy.

Sign said hours might vary due to soft opening, but 45 minutes (and counting) late seems extreme.
Staff was very careful to place pastries for maximum appeal. But slow. So slow. The way the staff studiously ignored the existence of the crowd waiting outside was very impressive, but not in a good way.
When they eventually did open the doors, the pastries available were beautiful. I chose a cardamom knot, an apple galette, and a bear claw. The cardamom knot did not taste fresh baked. That was a let down. The bear claw on the other hand was delicious with hints of orange zest. My wife said the Apple galette was, "good".
So, making allowances for the soft opening, it wasn't the worst experience. I just don't understand why the workers opening didn't announce the intent to open at 8am when they have a crowd of people milling about at 7:30am.
