Great flavor! I'm coming back for the pizza for sure... I had the Vegetable Pasta🍆🫑🧅🍄‍🟫, hubby had a Pasta with Nopales🌵, and my little ones had their own Combo Pizza🍕, my one year old was doing a happy dance as she ate her pizza, will be back to other dishes on their menu.

A friend recommended the new restaurant so I took a look at their menu. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety it had.

The food was great and the service was great too. They open at 11, we went at 1130 so it was early and there wasn’t a lot of people there.

I ordered the cioppino and it was really good. The bread is also great and the crème brûlée was also very good. I will definitely be going back to try some other things.

They have a very diverse menu so there’s something for everybody.

Jovita an I had dinner at D’ Forno Cocina. They recently opened here in Modesto. We had a really nice dinner. For starters we had the Hummus. The Hummus was some of the best I’ve had. For our dinner selections I had the Four Cheese Tortellini and Jovita had Chicken Piccata. Both dishes had great flavors. The sauce in the Tortellini was amazing! For dessert we split a Chocolate Silk Mousse Cake. For our beverages we had ice water and St Amant Old Vine Zinfandel. We had great service.

We wanted to love this place… let’s start with Pros: 1) our server was amazing! She was so sweet and joked with our large party. She kept up with us and we really enjoyed her. We would come back for her! 2) the atmosphere was pretty nice. I loved being able to see the kitchen and the ability to serve a large party.
Cons: 1) I hate to say it but the quality of the food wasn’t the best. Especially for the pricing. I think if each plate was $2-4 less it would’ve made sense. But for a $25 plate of pasta it felt more along the lines of Olive Garden. You could tell they were trying to make it look fancy but it wasn’t.

Overall: would we return? Probably not. There are many other options in the area for the price per person with higher quality. We didn’t leave saying “we can’t wait to return”.

Side note: the menu had a very weird back page serving Mexican food and American food? I say cut that page out and put a heavier focus on nailing the Italian dishes!
