The food was phenomenal, but the service was lacking. I was served with a chipped glass, and the bartender asked if I broke it which to me I don’t understand why it would matter if I did or not. In any case, I would return because the food was good . Just make sure that you leave enough time, as the service is somewhat lacking and they were pretty busy.
I've been wanting to come out here after seeing an article written on the place. Came in for brunch, and it did not disappoint. We ordered the Chorizo Hash and Chilaquiles with drinks. The food was very tasty, and the drinks were also a plus. We were kinda expecting smaller portions but turned out to be very generous portions that make you walk out feeling full. Another add-on to this establishment is that they have a bakery with freshly baked goods. We ended up getting a box of 4 pastries all decently priced.
El Bistro did not disappoint! We’re fans of Salt and Pepper in Turlock so we we’re excited to hear of this spot opening up in Modesto. Hands down, the best chilaquiles I’ve ever had. Their attention to detail is spot on, the flavor of both meals were thoughtfully done. The restaurant itself has great vibes and I cannot wait to come back for some baked goods from the cafe!
It was delicious! I came for the first time with a friend from out of town & although we had to wait a bit for the food, it was definitely worth it! The portions were great & my French toast bacon sandwich was to die for🤤I’ll be back very soon!
I had an amazing experience here! The food is really delicious! I ordered their 4 egg California Omelette which has avocado, ham, bacon, tomato, spinach, green onion and Monterey Jack cheese. I also cream cheese and berries on whole wheat toast that was out of this world amazing! For my beverage, I had a berries mimosas and iced water. The service here is very attentive and I highly recommend coming here. The portions are also generous. All food preparations are picture perfect in regards to aesthetics. So, when you dine here keep in mind that preparing really good and aesthetically pleasing food takes time.
