4.5 stars. Nestled in a corner in a non descriptive cute shopping mall. Is Kucina, Filipino sit down or take out restaurant. At lunch, we had pork sisig ,2 pork bbq combo plate, 2 palabok, crispy pork belly and 4 halo, halo. Let’s get to it. Pork belly, aka lechon were tasty and crunchy, one kid liked his I had the pork bbq. It comes with steamed rice lumpia and pancit was okay. Very tasty pork belly and seasoned bbq pork good. My kids liked all we had ordered. They are the critical reviewers. We are planning to come back to try others on the menu. You must try if you’re craving for Filipino cuisine. As always, post wherever your palate takes you.
I've been on this place for 3 times now. So far, most of the food were pretty good. Except for the two items that we ordered. The pancit and pork skewers that my husband ordered. It wasn't as tasty as typical Filipino barbecue. It tasted like it wasn't marinated for long and the rice bowl that came with pancit was on the dry side. I still give them 5 stars because they have great customer service and very attentive. I really want them to thrive since we only have 1 Filipino restaurant in town, so I help by spreading the words to my friends.
Tis place is so good. My fiance and I both got combo plates and they were the perfect amount of food. We also got an extra side order of their lumpia and we're so glad we did! The service was so nice and we received our order fast. I'm excited to see this place grow. For the love of God, Modesto, don't sleep on this place.
