La Parrilla Mexican Restaurant & Bar

Great place! My family and friends and I just had a great dinner there for the first time at their new location on Oakdale and Sylvan Ave in Modesto. Great interior, clean, nice staff, and yummy entrees. Highly recommended!

Nice atmosphere. Staff checked with regularly for beverages and chip refresher. Rated a 4 because food came very slow. Everything was good except my soft tacos were partly dry and partly chewy. We will try the restaurant again though. I'll get something different.

Came here for dinner with group of coworkers on Friday evening. Their staff was soooo nice and accommodating. I liked their chips, salsa, and beans. I ordered a steak with bell peppers dish, rice, beans, tortilla; they really give you a lot of food but I found it was too salty. I couldn't finish much at all because it was so salty. My coworker ordered a one of the steak bowls from their fit menu. It looked exactly like mine but half the size. She paid the same price I did though; I thought she got gypped. Overall, it's okay. Maybe try something else next time.

Very fresh Mexican food, and great hospitality. They will bring you a free bean dip but you have to ask for it. The salsa is perfect! A little bit hot and so delicious. Their chips are tasty and their lunch specials are pretty decent. I recommend trying their crispy tacos or their Fajita bowl.
