I ordered 2 chicken breast a la carte. When I arrived home, I immediately noticed that I received a regularly sized chicken breast and another that appeared to be more like an undersized chicken thigh. Basically, the other piece of chicken breast was about 1/4 the size of the one I was satisfied with. To be fair, however, when I drove back to the restaurant and brought the concern to their attention... they immediately made it right. Kudos to manager on duty (the sweet young lady that seem to always wear a colorful hair scrunchie) who continues to resolve issues without hesitation whenever an issue rarely comes up. Also, I appreciated how the cook (Martin) apologized for the inconvenience and went back to his kitchen to replace the severely undersized chicken breast right away. The purpose of this review is to really bring the importance of consistently and quality control of items. Customers will naturally expect to receive the same quality (or serving size) assuming it's for the same price. So if this is an issue with a supplier, it's probably something that needs to be discussed. All in all, I'm a huge supporter of El Pollo Loco and have been super impressed with how well the location I recently visited is handling the demand and pressures of a brand new store.
