What a great place to go in the winter to ski or snowboard. Also, now there is disk golf, hiking & mountain biking. A big plus is the temperature is much cooler in the hot months.
Dodge Ridge is an excellent resort for learning to ski and snowboard. They have a few great beginner runs. For the most part the park is blue squares with a handful of diamonds. They have three terrain parks. The granite bowl is their greatest feature, it's fun when the snow is fresh and deep. The lodge has good food with a nice bar and all reasonably priced considering being at a ski resort.
One of the best places close to Bay Area. They are selling season passes for this and next year at 499. No crowds and pretty decent variety of slopes. 1day pass is 100 bucks. 150miles form Bay Area. Great place for 1 day trip
A big thank you to Ally and the staff at Dodge Ridge who made our trip to the Pinecrest area truly memorable! Their hospitality was commendable as they made one accommodation after another for our benefit,...the last one being sending me my license which ended up in the Lost & Found. Thank you for truly making every effort to make our ski trip so wonderful! I highly recommend skiing at this resort because of its great service, less crowded scene during the week, personnel on the slopes and at the ski school who kept us safe, and for the number of slopes it had running during our trip (2/19-2/22). We had a marvelous time and would recommend skiing at Dodge Ridge!
Luv the local ski resort. Good for Day trips. Tired, but fun . A great beginner’s time. Rentals were fast and efficient as far as weekdays. First Aid was top notch when my kid fractured radial. Thanks all for patching him up until we get to ER.
