    in every aspect from making the reservation, service, food, ambience, cleanliness, etc... this place exceeded my expectation.

    Not what it used to be. Ate here about 15 years ago and have fond memories of the experience. Not so exceptional this time. Food was rather bland tasting and bland in presentation too. The setting is quite beautiful, but the restaurant decor and the menu are getting a bit dated. There are better options for fine dining in Ojai -- something I wouldn't have said the first time eating here 15 years ago.

    We had a late Valentine's Day dinner and I chose the Ranch House. It was a perfect decision and place. We had the 5 course menu which was awesome. Every single meal was excellent and delicious. Started drizzling and asked the employees if we can move. They helped us in seconds and even brought me a small warm blanket! Very thoughtful. Service was excellent: every staff member was polite and attentive. The restaurant is out of way a bit but it's worth the drive. Highly recommended. We are going back for sure. Thank you!

    If you haven't been here, you absolutely need to go. The ambience is very soothing, and the serving staff are some of the friendliest I've met. My wife has disabilities which are a bit out of the norm and they made her feel completely welcome (which I assure you is VERY unusual).

    The food is also FANTASTIC and the way they serve it in the various courses made dinner here very enjoyable.
