Large amount of food for the money. My breakfast was fair, the eggs done well, but the bacon was way over smoked, it tasted like I was eating the hickory chips as opposed to meat. The French toast was much too chewy. This is a diner style cafe, the waitresses we're inappropriately dressed, their attire would more suited in a Hooters type restaurant. Pricing very high for a breakfast / lunch joint, average pricing about 15.00 for a breakfast, but there is a lot of food.
Seriously the best breakfast! They are always quick, even if you have to wait for a table. The staff is friendly and are always checking on your table. I ordered the Al's Avocado Omelette with Crispy hash browns, and biscuits. Their biscuits are homemade and served with their homemade raspberry jam and butter. They have gravy too as an optional side. This place is always voted the best breakfast in Ventura County and it's definitely a fact! Always love stopping by for a great meal!
The food was amazing. They are known for their biscuits and gravy and for good reason, they are huge and fluffy, the gravy is great. But the HOMEMADE raspberry jam is life. I bought a jar to bring home. My omelette was packed full and so flavorful they don't skimp on anything like most places. Even their coffee was good. Service was efficient and nice. If you are looking for a breakfast place, this should be your number one stop. I will definitely be back again.
Great breakfast! A little on the pricey side but well worth it. Portions were big! Service was quick and excellent. They serve breakfast and lunch and can be a little busy. Cozy atmosphere. I recommend this place for good eats!
Found Allison's on Google so we thought we'd check it out for breakfast. There was a 15 minute wait which wasn't bad. The food was great, and really flavorful. The customer service was excellent and there were constantly girls coming and checking on us, and refilling our coffee and drinks. Would definitely recommend for a cozy homey environment and home style food.
