Black Bear Diner Ventura

Good food and a lot of food. Be prepared to take some of it home, the orders are mostly served on platters, and cooked exactly the way you want it. Picky or fussy eaters should have no complaints, and if by chance it takes a little longer to prepare and cook your "made to order" meal, then it's worth the wait!
Servers are both friendly, efficient and "know" the menu, and can answer questions, and give you their honest opinion, but worry, it's all gonna be good!
It really deserves 5 stars, I gave it 4, only because I thought it to be a tiny bit pricey for Ventura, but it IS an upper scale diner which has been needed here. Go check it out, you won't be disappointed 👍

Finally decided to give this new restaurant a try here in Ventura. Jeremy was our server and right from the get go the service was excellent! Jeremy was really helpful, attentive, and informative. The food was great and their hot sauce (they have their own) were fantastic! The decor is really fun and a great atmosphere 👌 👍

The food was DELICIOUS!!! The portions are HUGE!! Well worth the price...looking at about $12-$16 average per plate but it's worth it! The orange juice was the best juice I've had in years. Tastes like they squeezed the oranges and brought it straight to my table. So good! The Waffle and Biscuits were HUGE. My wife had to take home her left overs. Very very flavourful! Everything!!!

Our first time visiting the Ventura location. My family and I had such a great experience. The place was nice, clean and they have a great outdoor area. The five star review I give is due to the great service we received by Cheryl. She greeted us with a genuine smile and was very attentive. Her friendly and great attitude has made this one of our go to places in the area. How we are treaded as customers goes a long way for my family and I. The food was quick and delicious!

Your server Jacobi was absolutely amazing!!! He was so attentive to his customers and took cAre of my family with no hesitation in service! He went above and beyond continuously during our visit and I truly want this young man recognized for his effort and dedication to his position. Many young people do not have this work ethic in this day and age and he showed the definition of integrity, and appreciation for the customers there during our visit! Please recognize this young man for his efforts and job well done! We will definitely be back due to this young man’s work ethic and demonstrating the culture of what Black Bear Diner is supposed to be! Amazing job Jacobi!
