House Of Shah Afghan Urban Eats

I thought I would try Indian food again, I am not a fan. I dont like bone in my chicken. The costs was not worth the food.

My boyfriend and I went here on a whim a few months ago and fell in love! Tonight we went back again and had a wonderful experience. The owner was very kind and you can tell he genuinely cares about your satisfaction. The afghan fries are probably my favorite (no picture because I ate them all too quickly), but I’ve yet to be disappointed.

Wow!! What mouthful of flavor in the middle of downtown Woodland. We got the dumplings...super yummy and could be a meal , but advertised as a shareable; a ground beef patty kabob with cumin seasoned rice which we shared; and the ice cream dessert. The vanilla ice cream was sprinkled with cardamom and pistachio. I could/would eat that all day long. It was large enough to share with 3 other adults and a two year old. My eating comrades really enjoyed their meals, too. We drove from Sacramento and Davis and would do it again. This is a causal dining experience and has seating for about 25 to 30 people. Super nice cashier. We will be back. Good vegetarian options.

Great food and friendly staff. Once I can early around 11pm and the cook came out to shake my hand and introduce himself.

Overall great place! I recommend the potato side dish cooked in tomatoes and onions (forgot the name), it is fantastic.

Amazing.
Far better and more interesting than any other options around Woodland, this restaurant offers you exotic flavors, fresh ingredients, and a well balanced meal, for a very decent price.
People are nice and can accommodate (as no spices for kids, second plate to share, ...)
Our best surprise of the year!
It would be even more outstanding when they will have wine!!!
