Old Hickory Steakhouse

We live in Auroa and decided to check out Old Hickory. Hands down one of the best restaurants we've been to, and we visit a lot of fine dining restaurants in Denver. First, the service from our waiter Foster and his team was impeccable. They were attentive, funny, and some of the best waiters we've ever had. The food was amazing. We ordered the pork belly, wedge, cowboy ribeye, porterhouse with truffle butter, and dessert. One of the best steaks I've ever had. Definitely will be back.

Went on Christmas day, and the food was very good. Staff had a hard time keeping the cold buffet stocked with the seafood items that were advertised, so we didn't get everything we wanted there, but what we got was good. Unfortunately we had a waiter who decided that crude humor was the way to go, and he brought down what would have otherwise been a quality experience.

What a great restaurant. My wife and I ate there tonite and I don't understand the negative reviews of this place. Our server, Tim, treated us like an old friend.. warm, friendly and very attentive. I had the scallops and they were excellent. My wife had the salmon. Tim recommended cooking it a little less done than my wife is used to, but he was 'spot on'. The salmon was tremendous. We shared the asparagus and it was cooked to perfection. Do not pass up this restaurant. We now have a great place to celebrate special occasions, and a great server to request next time.

We had dinner here while staying at the hotel. Our server James was excellent! He recommended the lamb chops which I had; and they were spot on! Best lamb chops I’ve ever had. My husband wished he would have ordered those in lieu of his NY strip. He said the steak was average. However, let’s talk about the lobster Mac and cheese, it was superb, had big chunks of lobster through out, was creamy and delightful. The asparagus was tasty too! We had the crab cakes as an appetizer and they were good but not standouts. We were pleasantly surprised when they brought out a fantastic piece of chocolate cake on the house, we were there celebrating our Anniversary. The chocolate cake was rich and decadent beautifully plated. Very special! This restaurant has potential to be 5 stars with the wonderful atmosphere and view just needs better execution of the steak, considering it is a steakhouse. We will definitely go back again.
