Lots of options for traditional southern foods. The portions are huge, so come hungry and expect to eat a lot. The rolls and corn bread that come with meals are really good, too! The service has always been attentive and polite when I've been served here as well. I can't go to this place a ton just to save my figure, but it's a real treat when I do!
This was my first visit to this chain. I really just went because I didn't want to cook Black-Eyed peas for New Year's day, but it is tradition. I had the chicken fried steak with fried okra and black-eyed peas. It was all very well done and super delicious! The meals come with your choice of dinner rolls or cornbread, so of course I asked for both. You can't go wrong with either. I also feel like I need to mention it was super busy when I was there and I still had excellent food and amazing service. It's common for me, when I am dining alone to get forgotten but not today.
Very homey southern style food. The cornbread and bread is amazing. Even if you're not keen on veggies you'll love ALL if their vegetables which you can get veggies only...
They have meatloaf and roast plus much more. Steak and other fine entree's. You get what you pay for so it's priced accordingly. 10-13 a person for lunch and $12-$30+ a person for dinner..
Excellent Customer service and all the food tastes fresh and hand made. Got the appetizer plate with fried green beans and the breading was crispy with fresh green beans. I would definitely go back and recommend it to my friends!
I was actually surprised at how delicious the food is here. Mainly because someone told me something completely different from what this restaurant actually is. I had the steak with a loaded backed potato and it is delish! Cooked perfectly, melt in your mouth. Actually better than Texas roundhouse or longhorn. Lots of bread. But let's talk about dessert. Their Mile high chocolate cake is 1 pound. Serving with ice cream. Believe me you will not be disappointed, you might even have to take it all home. But it is definitely worth the price and the wait.
