As we were staying in the hotel right across the street, we actually ate in this restaurant twice in two days! The first day I ordered a hamburger which was very good, and the next day I ordered French toast which was also very good. You pretty much know what you’re going to get when you eat at a Cracker Barrel, and this was no different. I would return. Met a client here for lunch both had good meals service was good . I had the grilled fish it was very good. We were in and out in less than an hour.
I used to love it here when I was younger, it's always packed now and the menu is different every time I come. I asked for a root beer float and she looked at me funny before saying okay (then realized it wasn't on the menu anymore) I tried the chicken fried steak, was a small thin patty topped with one tablespoon of gravy. My uncle got the cheaper chicken fried chicken, two giant pieces of fried chicken stacked up 6x bigger than my pathetic patty and served with a bowl of gravy! Used to be more authentic, now tastes like a village inn. Really cute baby girl stuff though, easily spent more time and $$ in store than in the restaurant.
The place was packed wall to wall. The servers at Cracker Barrel are amazing. However, this is the second time in a short period of time that the food has been cold. I just can't do cool biscuits and gravy or grits. But my family likes it there so we'll be back.
Food was great! The wait staff was excellent and very considerate. A customer seemed to be gone for awhile and so the server asked her husband if she, the server, could cover her food to keep it warm. I also didn't know they had a store. They had awesome gifts, and it was fun to shop in there. The staff was ready to help.
