Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood & Bar

The only thing I’m mad about is that I waited so long to try this place. When it comes to seafood I’m extremely hard to please. I usually always end up leaving a seafood restaurant still hungry or unsatisfied. That was not the case here. We started with a 12 count shrimp cocktail because we’re in a landlocked state so usually we get mini shrimp here. These could have passed for prawns. These were huge, I just got back from San Francisco and these were close to twice the size what I was served there. I ordered the Reel Catch and was warned by the waitress that I would not finish it. We’ll I did finish it and was not full but satisfied, it was perfect. Take it from me people, you will not be let down with the Reel Catch. I even have my GFs left overs to munch on tonight or tomorrow. The only negative thing I have to say was the crab legs were a little on the gummy side. I couldn’t crack them by hand but that could have been because I left them in the bag for last, even so, not a big deal. Very impressed here and will definitely be back. Now that the casinos no longer offer all you can eat crab this place is the next best thing and it’s just down the road and keeps money in your pocket!

My mom, aunt, and I went here for an early dinner on a Monday night. We were seated promptly and the staff was nice. Our waiter was knowledgeable and provided great recommendations. Among our table we had mozzarella sticks, coconut shrimp, fried shrimp, Cajun fries, oysters with spicy seasoned garlic butter, fried lobster with lobster bisque, and a garlic butter boil with shrimp & crab. Everything we tasted was hot and fresh. The flavors and spices were quite yummy! One issue I’d like point out was bathroom cleanliness was lacking. Everything else was great. The prices make sense for the product as we are in a land locked state. Overall, I would highly recommend this establishment!

Hook and reel is "off the hook"! This about the 3rd. Time I've eaten there with family members and I have to tell you... It's amazing. The staff are very friendly and the food comes to the table piping hot and delicious. I'd eat there everyday if I had time... Check it out. You won't be disappointed.

Excellent service and very clean environment. The Lobster bisque is decent and the Cajun bags is where it’s really at. I don’t recommend the PO boys they really aren’t elevated like i would expect but that’s just a criticism. Definitely recommend!
