Helga's German Restaurant & Deli

Wow. What can I say. Experience was great. Special of the night was Bison bratwurst. Servers with spicy mustard and it was great. German polka music playing throughout the restaurant. Beer was nice and cold and served in chilled glasses. This place is amazing with a gift shop and friendly service. If you are looking for a good restaurant (not just a good German restaurant) make sure to stop into Helga’s you will not be disappointed.

We had an awesome time in this restaurant. We loved the great atmosphere and the food. The waiters are very welcoming. I’m content we finally decided to try this place.

Helga’s has always been one of my favorite restaurants and delis. The German food they prepare is delicious. I usually go to the deli when I’m in Denver (from Longmont) to load up on German deli meats, cheeses, potato salad, German bread, and anything else I have a desire for. I have never left Helga’s disappointed. I highly recommend this restaurant and deli and I will definitely be back for more...

What a great find! Met family here for lunch. We made a reservation on Open Table. Showed up at our time and were immediately seated. Brittany was our waitress and she was awesome! Great menu and really cool atmosphere. I got the schnitzel and bier brat sampler and it was a ton of food! Absolutely delicious! The desserts looked amazing too. I’ll definitely be back!

Helga's German Restaurant & Deli is a truly excellent German food and beer experience in the metro Denver area. As somebody who grew up in Germany, and frequently returns, the food here feels like you're dining back in Bavaria somewhere!

The decor and atmosphere of Helga's are both well-done, and quite fun. The restaurant is styled after a Bavarian tap-room/bier hall. The restaurant is well-lit, and the furnishings are in generally good shape. Overall, the theme is well-executed, and adds to the dining experience.

The large selection of imported German beers on draft is certainly one of the highlights for me; being able to order beer by the 1L Mas or an even larger 2L boot is a lot of fun! If you're hankering for German beers, it's definitely worth stopping in here.

The food was excellent; the schnitzel was moist, delicious, and crisp on the outside - just how it should be. I also enjoyed and highly recommend the rouladen - full of flavor, and perfectly cooked.

Service was excellent, even on a busy night; our server was quick to come by and take orders, and quick to return with beer! Every server we encountered was friendly and helpful to our party, with recommendations and tips for those new to German food, as well.

I highly recommend stopping in for some German food and beer, done right! I'll be coming back here next time I'm in the area for more!
