La Pily #2 Mexican Restaurant

First time coming to this restaurant starting from the beginning walking in there were no signs staying please wait for server or find a table to your liking. Would advise some sort of signage for first timers, it is a pick your own table kind of setting. Horchata was great, it’s wasn’t watered down and wasn’t overly sweet. Chips and salsa not bad was expecting the chips to be hot but wasn’t a deal breaker. Now my boyfriend and I decided on getting their smothered burritos, I got al pastor and he got carnitas. Out comes this massive plate with a pretty hefty burrito covered in what looks like shredded cheddar cheese, of course it’s also smothered in green chili. On the side are the standard shreds of lettuce and pico, yellow rice, and refried beans topped with cotija cheese. Green chili had good flavor with the right amount of heat, not enough to hurt but enough to be present. Yellow rice nothing spectacular, refried beans were right on point with seasoning. The burrito was by far one of the best I’ve had, it was a simple mixture inside of beans rice and meat. Both the al pastor and carnitas were well seasoned and tender, blended very well with the rest of the plate and on its own. Overall would recommend this place for a true Mexican meal.
