Pupusas La Salvadoreña

1st time there..pupusas are delicious. Made to order fresh. Worth the wait and $

I fell in love with pupusas at a tiny, tiny El Salvadoran place in Seattle. Unfortunately, it closed. Since then, it's been hit or miss with finding good ones.

Well, I've found another shop with excellent food all the way around. Pupusas, desayunos (with eggs, plantains, beans, cheese, avocado), and amazing refried black beans. I came for pupusas, but the black beans really hooked me in. They are so flavorful, but no heat unless you add it (my spouse is a tendermouth).

Even with takeout, our pupusas were still hot when we got home. We've now gone several times.

Service could be better. They were kind of rude, food was good, but not great.

We came to Pupusas unexpectedly. I left thinking Salvadorian food could be the best food in the world. Caramelized sweet & creamy plantains with salty bean and sour cream sauces. Flayed, butter fried shrimp dusted with oregano. Cheesy Revuelta & Loroco pupusas, were loco. This place is busy on the weekends, so prepare for a little wait, but for us the service was friendly and fantastic. They may possibly have the cutest coffee cups in the world.

One of the best pupusas I have ever had. The prices are really good for the sizes. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is interested in trying good Central American food.
