Dark Horse

If you are visiting from out of town to Boulder or Denver come here for sure man! Friendliest local bar I've ever been to, and something very different from what you would be used to out of town. Displays were awesome. Met a lot of cool people, played some pool and enjoyed the smoking section. This is definitely a spot I'm coming to next time I'm back visiting!!!

I have so many fond memories of going to Dark Horse that I actually felt like I had to write a review.

Dark Horse is that classic bar you'd expect from a town in the middle of nowhere. The owners have collected a lot of memorabilia overtime and they're proudly presenting it everywhere. There's wood on the walls with markings from friends and lovers coming in and scratching their name. Of course there's a pool table... or at least I remember one in my head. And as you'd expect, there's a slightly confusing bathroom sign that you and your friends will talk about later.

To put it simply, in a college town like Boulder, Dark Horse is a wonderful place for kids to go and grab a pretty tasty burger late at night, drink a few beers, and hang out. There's a really great vibe and there's lots of memories to be had. This place will live with a special memory in my heart.

Dive bar theme park! Great burgers and a fun atmosphere. Well worth visiting again and again. Drinks are plentiful and reasonably priced. Be careful with the bathrooms...

Quaint and rustic, plus the food is great. The Starving Student discount is a fantastic deal. It gets loud, but it's part of the great atmosphere inside.

This place was a ton of fun and the food/atmosphere was really great!

I think this spot is just a fun tribute to the spirit of Boulder/Denver with lots of great decorations, art work, and excellent beer.

Tons of seating around with upstairs, downstairs, little side seating areas, and a large seating area where you can catch any game you want to watch.

You order up at the counter and go back when they call your name - the burgers are very hearty and there are lots of other American food options as well.

Definitely worth a visit - they call it world famous for a reason.
