Ras Kassa's Ethiopian Restaurant

I miss Ras Kassa's from the moment I step outside their door after a wonderful meal here, and the meals are always wonderful. Service is attentive and friendly, and the food is nothing short of incredible for the variety of fresh meats, vegetables, textures, and vivid flavors on offer. Rich, fragrant, earthy, tangy, all these sensations abound in Ethiopian cuisine, and Ras Kassa's preparation is second to absolutely no one else. Speaking of fragrant, make sure to enjoy your meal with the house tea as an accompaniment.

The fact that this is the only Ethiopian restaurant in Lafayette aside, it's phenomenal. I'm used to hole in the wall Ethiopian places that mainly serve takeout and this is luxurious compared to that. They have beer, wine and cocktails that I assume are pretty authentic - the Ethiopian honey wine was new to me and is a less sweet and syrupy version of mead.
Most of all, I love that I can come here and get a huge platter of deliciousness. Lots of meat and veggies that are well-spiced with copious amounts of injera (teff bread that's kind of like a sourdough crepe). If that sounds appealing, you should check this spot out!

This is our go-to restaurant for visiting family and friends friends. Warm service with downright tasty and always delicious food. We go with their combinations to share and love every bit of em!

Always a treat! Best service and food, dishes that one craves. Boulder lost out big time when Ras Kassa's moved, but I am happy to go wherever the restaurant goes because it's that amazing. The feast for two ( veggie and omnivore options both) are an amazing deal and the best way to sample this wonderful cuisine.

This place is pretty good. The people are very friendly and the food is tasty. I give it five stars relative to the restaurants out there. I would feel badly giving it less. It is a great place to try. We like eating here occasionally. I would give four if the people were not as nice because it does upset my stomach sometimes but I am also sensitive to food. Everything is delicious. Very inspiring for cooking at home.
