Bella La Crema, Bistro, Butter Bar & Market

Upon entering the Cafe seems to be cramped, it’s small stature keeps you sliding in between each chair and table. Once you find your seat (if there is one available) you feel the space expand as the homey comfort sets in. The decor keeps reminding you of a place everyone calls home, with mismatched tables and chairs. Everything you want from a small cafe that makes their own butter and bread! What a poetic experience. Thank you.

I enjoyed a wonderful lunch here with my family. The owner was personable and inviting - the food was delicious! We sampled a flight of sweet and savory butters, each with distinct and appealing flavors. The sandwiches were generous in size, as was the stew. The french toast was a bit smaller but light and airy - truly delicious! We stopped in on a whim - what a happy surprise! I'm sure we will be frequent visitors at this friendly and beautiful bistro.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from a “butter bar”, but I was amazed. Bella La Crema has a wonderful atmosphere and an amazing owner. We started with a butter flight (4 butters; two sweet, 2 savory and a half of a baguette), and then I had the herb egg scramble on a croissant. The butters were all so creamy and had fantastic flavors. I didn’t know butter could taste so good!! The egg croissant was absolutely delicious as well. I’m looking forward to returning to try more!

Every detail was amazing the butter flight (who knew that was a thing a very tasty thing!!), Sandwiches and Shauna. All were a little savory and a little sweet. Shauna was patient, silly and blunt a delightful combination. This was not our original destination but so glad we happened onto it.

Wow!! I found doing the flight of butter a life-changing experience! The way the flavors emerged as the butter warmed in your mouth was like nothing I’d ever experienced before. You get a fresh baguette and 4 butters to try - 2 savory and 2 sweet! Loved chatting with the store owner. This is a new favorite and worth a day trip to Lyons!!
