A good stop after hiking one of the nearby trails. Food OK, not outstanding. Chili very good. Not a huge selection of beers, but again OK.

They bill as the best pizza in the Rockies. This may be true, but pizza in Colorado averages pretty poor. But I'll say the best pizza above 10000 ft. You have to go just for the history. And there is really not a level table or floor in the place.

A nice dimly lit bar and grill. Just like I like it! Good for watching the world go by on the Peak to Peak highway from the front porch. Food was ok and the beer was cold.

I've passed by this place a dozen times on the peak to peak hwy. This time my dire hunger drove me in for lunch. This place screams mom and pop, the service was great, the owners are so hospitable that I felt like I was at my grandparents mountain bar. The sloppy joe was recommended to me, and was better than any other sloppy joe I've ever had in my life. Very down to earth place. Would recommend, and will be stopping again soon.

Stopped in on a whim and could not be happier. I travel a lot (multiple states/ week) and enjoy tavern life across the country. This place stands out. The atmosphere alone is worth the trek up the mountain. It is a local’s joint but I was warmly received with polite conversation and recommendations from staff and regulars. The pizza is what really shines, but from what I could see all the food had a handcrafted touch to it. Prices are fair, you get quality homemade food and craft beer from local breweries. I had 2 craft beers, and a stromboli the size of my head; $19.
