Scalzotto Italian Restaurant Homemade Pasta

To begin with, I had looked up the menu online. The only reason I decided to go was to try their cream of mushroom soup. Well come to find out they do not serve that at lunch. So I went with the cream of tomato, which was so very delicious. I also had the spaghetti con salsiccia. I have to admit that I thought it would be like a traditional tomato sauce and it is not. To me it seems like red peppers are incorporated into the sauce, like pureed not just chunks. The sauce was also swimming in oil which I just didn't understand. Overall the sauce had really good flavor. The thing that caused this visit to only be 3 stars is the service was really poor. The lady didn't ask if I wanted anything to drink and really made me feel out of place and kept rushing me through the meal. Looking back the restaurant wasn't even busy, just two other tables of two guests. Pretty sure I won't go back just based on the service which is sad because the food does taste so good!

We have been here twice (in the last 10 days) and food is delicious. Very attentive service and an intimate environment. If you are lucky, you may experience the owner entertain you with his accordion. Outstanding local restaurant!

Met here for a family dinner. Service was decent and in my opinion the food was exceptional. They have a pretty simple menu so it was not to daunting to make a choice but at the same time felt a bit limited.

Absolutely amazing food. I'm not kidding you, it is THE best Italian food you'll ever have. The family are great people as well.

It is my b day today so my wonderful guy took me to out here with my daughter and 2 tween grand kids. Food was delicious. Service was a bit slow due to the fact one of their books was a no show. They did everything they could to keep things moving in a pack house. People were understanding definitely going back as well as passing the word on what a good fine this is. Kathy K.
