Great place to stop for a drink and food. Owner and bartender were very friendly. And the owner bought us a drink! Thank you owner lady!

Don't miss it! You will regret if you don't stop!! This place is poppin! Make sure to bring your attachments and your straps. Good luck.

A small dive bar that was friendly and had great food for weary travelers. The staff was friendly, but busy. The regulars were very friendly and we felt comfortable and relaxed. Despite it being a bar, children were able to enter and the video games and TV kept everyone entertained while we waited for our food.
We ordered pub grub, (burgers, chicken strips, etc.) Nothing too greasy. Everything was cooked fine. It was a pleasant experience for out-of-towners on a road trip.

The Gap was awesome when I was a kid growing up in Eastern Colorado and it's still awesome when I go back to visit my old stomping grounds! From the food to the atmosphere to the liquor, I know that I can depend on The Gap to provide a gathering place that all of my old friends and (dare I say, family) will be for a great time! I look forward to the next time I can get back there and enjoy the experience!

My first rating was 5 stars and then I dropped my rating to 4 stars because I was wanting for my check a lot longer than I should have to wait.

Finally, I dropped my rating to 3 stars when I got to my car. My mom and I stood up and I thought she would bring me my check...nope after about 15-20 after getting a to go box I went up to the bar to pay for our lunch.

Today was my first time to eat at The Gap and I might come back again. I grew up in rural Colorado and I understand the connections within a small community, but that is no excuse to ignore other customers.

Mom lives in Kit Carson and whenever I come to spend the day with her. I like to take her to lunch. Today I found another place we will be going for lunch.

- Mom ate very well for me, that does not happen often.
- they have corn nuggets
- if you have not tried them, you really should
- food was good, well prepared
- if you are getting a chef salad (it is good), but unless you are pretty hungry get the small (it is big)
- waitress was very friendly, but not very focused on her tables, she likes to visit, a lot, with people she obviously knows from Cheyenne and the local area.

I might recommend this place to my friends and family.
