The Stockyards

We were visiting Colorado and Delta area. This is the best steakhouse around. The desserts are great also.

I have tried this restaurant a few times and have been underwhelmed each time. My town is small and restaurant options are limited so I've gone back here each time hoping it would be better.
Tonight was my last time. I ordered a salad that is advertised as having 3 cheeses. One of those 3 is American cheese. I ask you... Is there ever a time, EVER, when you've thought to yourself... "Self, you know what would make this salad amazing? Processed foodstuffs posing as cheese."
When, in the history of ever, has American "cheese" been something that you've expected on a $13 salad?
Additionally, my daughter's ribs were tough and chewy. She managed only to endure eating one rib and just couldn't handle another bite.
Bottom line,,, Just don't do it. Support a different local business.

Oh man, we were going to this place as we were traveling through and caught it out of the corner of our eye and went back for the first time to eat there and my goodness was this ever a great place to eat and it was also told to us that it had been there for quite a few years.

They've got a list of homemade pies from one fingertip to the other and you should enjoy those as well.

Has a small town charm to it and flavors that are bigger than the town and everyone at our table really enjoyed what they got from that place.

Give it a whirl see what you think. We got to meet the owner and she was really great and cared about her product.

The staff was really great and enjoyed the atmosphere. The sides ( salad, green beans and potatoes) were good. The homemade peach pie was definitely the star ! It was fantastic. Unfortunately the steak was pretty bad, an 8 oz sirloin. Was rubbery, bad flavor, and not well cooked.
I would go back and just not order a steak because everything else was well done.

Really good stick to your ribs food. I recently had the patty melt and couldn't put it down. Had a perfect crust on the outside for a wonderful bite. The flavors came together just how I wanted.
I ordered the fries, but my coworker got the homemade onion rings. I tried to take as many of those onion rings as she'd let me.
