I have been to the Colfax location a handful of times with friends and family. No matter what was ordered, everyone was really happy with their meal. The flavors are delicious! The staff is friendly and helpful. The pay at the counter style of dining I always prefer with friends, it is just simpler for paying the bill. So far I have had the Crispy Chicken Sandwich (really tasty), the French Dip (my mouth is watering thinking of it), a burger and salad (can't remember which ones, but they were really satisfying), and their fries are some of my favorites.
Had lunch with family and friends. Overall it's a Great shop. Good food. Beer was also good.
Have ate here several times trying almost everything off of the menu and NEVER been disappointed. Everything is always delicious, perfect timing, and worth the $. Even the drinks are very good from the local sodas, teas, and frozen drinks.
Unfortunately would not recommend ordering through food apps on a busy night waited over an hour 30 minutes, had to physically drive to location 5 minutes before closing (apps fault) just to get home and realized my spouses order was wrong.
We were downtown the other day and tried Chop Shop. It was a very nice experience. The restaurant was very nice and the staff very friendly. They recommended the bacon wrapped meatloaf. The glaze was a little too sweet for me, but it was still darn good! I would order it again if I was back down that way :). Very cool place and you should check it out!
This small restaurant has a progressive, eclectic menu - hamburgers and fried rice, grilled bacon-wrapped meatloaf and crispy Brussels sprouts, fried organic tofu and tomato and pumpkin bisque. Well, that was the soup of the day when I visited. French onion is the staple, and apparently it’s very popular.
The dining room is pleasingly modern, emphasizing wood and brick, and there is a small outside porch on one side. The staff are all friendly and eager to please.
I had the Chop Shop Burger with spicy aioli (just tangy, really). It was great. It tasted homemade, with a nice char but juiciness, too. The in-house potato chips were good, but not exceptional. I wish I had tried the Parmesan fries instead. Next time, perhaps.
