Dickeys Barbecue Pit

Went in at dinner time (5pm) on a Saturday. The place was empty which was sad cause Dickeys is delicious. The staff were all very friendly and the place was really clean. I understand the place just opened, so it hasn't gotten its clientele built up yet, i hope it does quickly because the area really needs more good restaurants and bbq is really lacking in the area.

Our first impression was that we were walking in at closing time because all the chairs were up on the table and an employee was mopping. But the sign said they were open for more than another hour so we walked in, feeling a little unsure.

The employees were new but very nice and the food was decent, not as good as other locations I've been to. The roll and the potato salad were probably my favorites.

The soda machine and the ice cream machine were not working but we had sweet tea.

After the passing of the previous owner, I was saddened to see the place close. The new owner is doing the place justice and the food shows it. There's some issues with the newer staff members, but they're trying and leaning in a job most folks wouldn't want so bravo.

Pork, brisket, and a wide variety of other good meats and sides. It's almost enough to make you forget this is a fast casual chain.
