El Chingon Mexican Bistro

Our table had a mixture of small plates including ceviche, tacos, croquettes, and soups.

Ceviche was good - fairly typical for the dish. The various other dishes tended to be bland in taste and felt like they were not appropriately spiced.

Presentation of the dishes was interesting and unique in many cases -- it looks great. Food and general service was prompt and appropriate.

Feels like a hip/trendy place and as such was loud making conversation require a lot of projection.

General experience was mediocre/fair. I think it would be better to go for drinks at the bar then dinner with a family.

I look forward to going to El Chingon as often as I can. When we end up in their neighborhood, it's almost an automatic stop for a great lunch or dinner. Our most recent visit was this past Saturday, and it was as great as ever. The quality of the food is fantastic, the service is great, and the location is easy to find. Excellent drinks and desserts are available too! Highly recommended!!

This place is amazing. We've eaten there several times. The food is outstanding. My complaint, they aren't consistent with their opening times. Sometimes they open when it says they are supposed to open, and sometimes we are eating bunch at another place instead.

Our experience here was delightful! Angela is an amazing server that went out of her way to spend time with our 2 year old which was amazing, she even got our child’s order going immediately which is huge in the eyes of this parent. The food was off the charts great! It had a classic Mexican feel in a contemporary setting and it worked. The drinks were also great tasting and the happy hour is fantastic! I can’t wait to come back and try some different choices! Thank you El Chingon for such a happy experience!

Remarkable!

Everything here is so elevated, well executed, and personable. It is always a phenomenal experience here. While I've only visited a few times for their happy hour, it delivers extraordinarily. You must try their chicken flautas, it's a must every time! The atmosphere is intimate and beautiful inside of a home.

I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, and I cannot wait to go again!
