El Taco De Mexico

My hopes were high. I felt a little deflated after my visit. Maybe it's my head spent in ABQ but the atmosphere there me off. It's an open kitchen and you sit are a bar that looks into the kitchen. I guessed to watch them could why you eat. Hard to communicate with a friend at lunch, when your sitting next to them and have to turn your head, take a bite of food and make small talk oh and watch the ladies cook beans. The figure was alright nothing to really comment on that stands out. It was good. Pricey for express type menu. The hot chili was not dragon spot hot but mild at best.

Authentic Mexican. We came at noon on a Saturday and the line went out the door but there were two people taking orders to it didn't take long to receive our food. Definitely coming back!!

This place. Let me tell you about this place.... run by the most wonderful women you can imagine that know their stuff. It is mesmerizing to sit at the counter to eat and watch these women make the food. They truly know what they are doing and this place is so good!! It gets pretty busy so the sooner the better. There is not bad option to choose unless you have food allergies and if that is the case just fill up on the beans, those are great as well.

Fast service and delicious food is the game if the game here. Make sure to get a hearty helping of the green chili (best we had all trip, and backed up by local endorsements and awards!) and menudo to warm the soul on a cold day.
