My mouth is exploding with flavor and I can’t wait to come back!
The chicken sandwich + Mac & cheese was delicious and worth every penny. So glad to support a great local restaurant with amazing flavor palettes. You will not regret this spot!
I had the brisket, because that's what I know and love, and let me tell you, that is the best brisket I've had in Denver so far. Absolute best service I've seen in a very long time. These guys make you feel like family. Place is clean all around with a comfortable kid friendly environment. Thanks Hank!
I can't say enough good things about this place. The service was great, everyone was very nice and the food... amazing. Brisket was melt-in-your-mouth perfect. The mac and cheese and collards also done to perfection. Everyone with me was also happy with their food. Definitely recommend this place.
Don’t miss out on this BBQ. A new and much needed addition to the Denver BBQ scene. Chris stays true to his Spring, TX roots and delivers an incredible culinary experience at Hank’s. While the decor is straightforward and simple you literally won’t notice your surroundings once you start to eat. The sliced brisket was simple smoked perfection. Our hot sausage link surprised us with complexity and nuance. Yes, we’re foodies but even the sides at Hanks stand out for their flavor combos. Pinto beans are soaked in the most addictive mash we’ve ever had. I spent half of the meal trying to figure out just how they made the pinto beans that good so I could try it at home. While we were visiting an elderly gentleman spilled his drink. One of the gentleman working dropped everything to help them get situated, cleaned the table and even retired their food. That is Texas hospitality - if there’s anything we miss more than Texas it’s hospitality (and Stevie Ray Vaughan playing on the radio). Keep this up and I hope to visit you on Colfax for some time to come.
The meats were amazing during the soft opening (around noon). This is the best BBQ I have had in Colorado. It was a soft opening today, so it's hard to say if their service and food will continue to be this good, but everything was on point today. It's Texas style BBQ, which means dry rubs and no sauces. The rubs were good without being overpowering and the meat was smoked to perfection.
On the second visit, the meat wasn't amazing, but still good. The sides were just OK. This was an evening visit, so it's possible that everything is better closer to when they open. It's still the first week, so I'm hoping they can iron things out and be more consistent. So far, it seems like they're selling out around 6-7 PM.
