The food is really good and surprisingly served quick. Dine in or take out you won't be disappointed. There is only one bathroom with on toliet. That can be tricky. Also there is a lot of folks stopping by that oddly don't order any food. Perhaps it's the small mom and pops feel that has folks stopping by to say hi to the staff and patrons alike.
The food is amazing, really vegetarian friendly, and all homemade by a lovely lady and her daughter. The spicy tea was also incredibly delicious!
This is a real family-run operation, service isn’t always super fast but that’s part of the charm! Sit back, sip some tea, coffee, or honey wine and enjoy!
All the food was incredible. Authentic home cooking. One woman doing all the cooking and serving, and doing so with love.
The vegetarian platter for two was definitely enough for two people. The spicy lentils were my personal favorite of the combo. We will definitely be coming back.
We were on a vacation in Denver and it was my wife’s first time trying Ethiopian cuisine. She absolutely loved it. The food was very delicious and had a home cooked kind of touch to it. The owner is a very friendly lady. The place could use bit of an upgrade, but didn’t bother us much, considering the food (thing that matters to us in a restaurant) was fantastic. We will visit again next time we’re in town.
It was our first time eating Ethiopian food and it was well worth the wait! A very personal experience. The food is great and the prices aren't bad at all for the quantity and the quality. Two dishes shared between my girlfriend and myself left us bursting-at-the-seams full. If you're looking for a quick lunch, look elsewhere but if you have the time for a relaxed meal this is the place for you! You might call ahead to make sure the place is open. The owner often plays cook, hostess, and waitress at the same time and giving her a heads up is a good idea and a small kindness to a hardworking woman. Sometimes she has to close early because she runs out of ingredients and needs to run out and get more ingredients. It's rare that veggie-heavy cuisine gets 5 stars from me but this place and Ethiopian food in general get high praise! Anyone who can make peas and lentils a pleasant and surprising highlight of a meal is a culinary wizard in my book!
