Hands down the best food spot in Denver
I've only ever had a gringa torta and al pastor tacos from here. They are both delicious. They don't accept orders over the phone. They have gotten my oder wrong a few times so I would suggest you check your order before heading home. I order my torta without onion and chile and many times they forget and add them.
Some of the best Al Pastor tacos I've had since living in South Texas over 7 years ago. I ordered 6 Al Pastor tacos, and it was $15 and some change. I tipped 15% so the total was around $18 rounding up averaging $3 a taco ( would be around $2.65 a taco without tip after tax which isn't bad ).
Good size portioned tacos for the money and well worth it. I was hoping the thicker lighter colored green sauce was the same sauce from South Texas because that was the best sauce I've ever had, but unfortunately it was not. With that said it was still one of the best sauces I've had since leaving Texas.
The orange looking sauce has a great flavor and nice hint of spice, but the pinkish-white light colored one packs a punch instantly. It's like Connor McGregor is punching you directly in your mouth with a fist made out of Habanero peppers with a background flavor that keeps you wanting to try it again to figure it out. It's really good. Once you pour it on your tacos the flavor and heat of that sauce is lightened up and mixes very well for a perfect balance of flavor and heat for any spice lover.
Mix that one with the green one and it's phenomenal. Truly some of the best I've had in the area, and in my top 3 now fasho. You won't be disappointed coming here, and the wait is well worth it.
Love the tacos al pastor. Love the salsas! Next I might try a torta. I will update.
I am SO impressed with this place. I ordered tacos and they’re some of the most authentic tacos I’ve had since living in Mexico ten years ago. The staff was superb and the food was even better! The tacos are affordable and well worth every penny. They have six different salsas and don’t charge for them (I would give them six stars for this if I could). 10/10 recommend for anyone looking for authentic Mexican tacos. Cheers to you, El Pluche, for making such excellent food!
