This was my first visit. While parking is limited we found a spot. The food was delicious. I had the chicken avocado sandwich (with lettuce, onion, tomatoes on the side) and chips (Ruffles, there are other side dish choices like fries or coleslaw). We went during lunch and there was plenty of seating. Our server was attentive and kind. The people I went with, one had the bacon, tomato avocado sandwich with slaw and the other had the tuna melt with slaw. Their meals looked delicious, too. I will definitely go there again.
Honest to goodness Jewish deli with delightful staff (and ownership). All the classics, well prepared and served in a warm and cozy setting. Fantastic photos adorn the walls too.
This is a nice classic deli in the heart of cherry creek. It is away from the chain restaurants of the mall and the over priced bistros of cherry creek North. The most amazing thing is that they even have a parking lot.
Big.portions that can really satisfy your appetite stand at odds with real desserts that make you want to sing to the heavens.
Give this throwback deli a shot and you will not regret that decision.
We love Zaidy's. My husband and I have been going there an average of three times a month since 1998. It's a true neighborhood place, just right for people of all ages. The wait staff can handle 10 tables at a time without blinking an eye, and ALWAYS get orders right. Gerard, the owner, may not remember the name of every customer, but he never forgets a face, and he treats all customers like family. The restaurant isn't fancy, hasn't been painted in years, and the carpeting is probably the same one originally installed. The food is ordinary, and the place is jammed during the main dining times. Parking is challenging at best, but no one cares. There is no music, ever, piped or live, and thank heaven, not a single TV anywhere. You can actually hear the wait staff, and the people you're with.
I am giving this 4 stars as I want to go again and may update the reviews. The staff is absolutely 5 stars. Friendly and efficient. The pastrami was not as lean as I expected. That being said it was still good. The potato salad was true to East Coast potato salad. I am excited to go back and actually eat there.
