Bird Dog BBQ

Our favorite BBQ place for the military discount, the sauces, and brisket - and my husband likes their fried okra. The place could be updated some as the floors and booths are showing wear,, but the servers are nice and efficient. Good specials of the day.

They may not be a “mom and pop” shop, but they’ve totally captured that feel.

Food is outstanding and the staff is very courteous and friendly. Although I’d really like it if they had more decals to give out. I’d love to advertise for them on my water bottle at work. ????

One of the best BBQ places in the springs. The staff here is always friendly and service is great. Love being able to customize your food selections. If you come at prime time you will find the line long but they move you through it fairly fast. If you need to have an event catered they do that as well. I have never been disappointed with their selections for catering as well

We've eaten at this bird dog many times and it's always been good. The pulled pork, brisket, turkey, fried okra, Cole slaw, I'd had all of that and it was all good, every time... But it's been a little while since we've been here and I'm hoping tonight was just a fluke. I got a takeout order of a doghouse, smokehouse and bird's nest. I was told they had to make fresh fries for our bird's nest so it'd be "only, like, a minute." I said no problem... I paid and then waited by the register for over ten minutes while watching orders after me walk away with sides of fries. The man at the register asked if I was still waiting for my order and I said "I guess..." When I finally got the food home, I realized they put the entirely wrong meat on the bird's nest (I asked for polish sausage and it was pulled pork - not even close) and they'd forgotten the cheese on it. And my smokehouse had the driest brisket on it I've ever gotten from this bird dog location...

Again, I hope tonight was just a fluke and not the norm for them now since we've been going to this location off and on for years and it's always been great. We'll try it again and then decide if we need to find somewhere else for BBQ.

Never disappointed with their food! Their Brisket is to die for! You can go with the House plain bun or buy a Hunk of meat "to go". Suit and tie might mean "to go" but this Colorado casual and Veteran friendly place is very low key and staff is truly concerned with your happiness. Eat in if you love delicious steak fries. On a low carb diet? Get a big hunk of your favorite meat to go. Enjoy!
