We frequented the old location. Tonight our first experience at the new location was pretty disappointing. The food was not what we are used to. For one the bisque is no longer served in a bread bowl. Despite it still being listed in the menu. The wait for food out of the kitchen was longer than normal and the crawfish were overcooked. The oddest part of our dinner was when Chef came to talk to us. He accidentally spilled my brothers whole beer in his lap. Accidents happen, but he quickly excused himself and didn't even offer to get my brother another beer. That just blew my mind. We thought maybe he was going to comp the beer off of the bill or something. Nope. Nothing. I'm sure my brother would have been content with a re-fill. We left with a newly soured opinion of Mama Pearls. Edited to add that we did have a very good waiter. For that I bumped it up to 3 stars.
Authentic cajun cuisine. Perfectly seasoned. Delicious food. The combination gumbo, red beans and rice were fantastic! Homemade bread and butter pickles were zesty and tangy!
I love this place. I have had nothing but good service and food from this place. When I am in town it is one of my first stops. I get extra to go. i have had Cajun food around St. Louis and on down the Mississippi, THIS IS THE BEST. AAAAA+++
Momma Pearl’s is one of those places you will surely remember. Cute atmosphere, friendly server and the FOOD IS DELICIOUS!! My wife and I shared the Crab Cakes with saffron rice and the jambalaya with sausage and scrimp. We definitely recommend Momma Pearl’s. Enjoy!
