Mountain View Restaurant

It was great! The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful! The staff was very friendly and attentive. I'd definitely be back.

Things have definitely changed at The Mountain View Restaurant and it's not for the better. The mains are still good at the buffet but all the extras that they had before are no longer. The specials during lunch at the kitchen window are gone. The continental selection at breakfast as shrunk and the deserts that use to be their signature don't exist anymore. I was disappointed that they don't have those delicious fruit crumbles and cobblers to go with the ice cream. The cakes and pastries and sundae bar still exist but what happened to the cobbler? Speaking of ice cream, I was really disappointed that I went later in the night for dinner and they ran out of ice cream. That never happened before. The food was still good but it's those little bit extras that are no longer there that doesn't make this place as special. The staff were great as usual. Always there with a smile.

There is no way to describe how special they make you feel. The amount of food they present is almost overwhelming. We moved away, then years later moved to the Boulder area and made it a tradition to return there for Mother's Day Brunch. My favorite dish was the cheese blitzes which they no longer have but had crepes instead. It was fun to relive memories of when our daughter (now moved away) went there with us. The food and service are still excellent and I would highly recommend a visit.

This place has a great view and different dining options. You can do the buffet or you can order off the menu. The dining area is huge and you can eat on the outdoor patio to get the most of the view offered. I was here last year to eat with my soon to be finance and we both loved it. I would love to go back and eat on the patio.
