Very good......we all tried their cod fish sandwich special that comes with a sandwich, chips, and a drink for $7.50. Everything was perfect....including the service and their homemade tartar sauce. They also offer a military and first responder/law enforcement discount. We left full and happy to have found a genuine taste of the UK here.
It was very tasty! At first I thought it was kinda pricey based off my budget but when my food came out it was a nice size piece of cod. So it fit the price they charged. The food was nice and hot. Fresh potatoes aka chips. I will come back. I was chuffed “pleased”.
We accidentally pulled up in front of this restaurant looking for another place, and went in on a whim for lunch. Very happy we did. It's a super cute little shop with friendly and helpful staff. Clean, open, British kitsch ambiance with a small section of UK treats and gifts. Fish and chips were perfect and tartar sauce was delicious. I wasn't impressed with the fish cakes and they didn't have changing tables in the "loos" but those don't really take away from the overall experience. It's a great place for families and couples, and I think they could accommodate some mid sized groups. We will definitely go back.
An excellent, first-rate chip shop. Tried the cod and one of the pies. The batter was excellent, with flaky, never-dry fish. The chips, when fresh, crispy and delicious. We tried the curry sauce on the side, which was delicious and frankly all you need for either the fish or the chips. We also ordered the mushy peas and a side of Heinz baked beans, which came at the steep price of $2.50 each, a bit much for a canned variety. Truth be told, I would gladly pay more ($3-4 a side) if the peas and beans were homemade. The pork and green chili pie was an excellent synthesis of British fare and a Colorado staple, with flaky pastry, tart and spicy green chili, and perfectly cooked pork.
The environment is friendly and casual, and the staff exceptionally kind and personable. I will happily return to this spot for another go. I was, as the charming chalk-board glossary of British slang might put it, “well chuffed” with the experience.
4.5 stars
Delicious authentic food. I've been to England and since I've been back I have never tasted fish n chips this good. The staff is so kind and thoughtful. The owner Steve has such an amazing attitude and is very optimistic. The entire atmosphere of the place is welcoming, like stepping into Britain. Cheers mate!
