Walter's Bistro

My husband and I spent a lovely evening at Walter's Bistro. The first thing to note is that Walter is fully present. He seated us and was carrying plates to tables all night. Mike was our server and he was charismatic and all around superb. The best bite of the night was foie gras on toast with a cherry reduction. Fantastic food and service we will be back soon.

We went for a peaceful evening after a long work week. The staff was very attentive and the food was great. This is a classy restaurant and most people were dressed business casual. However, adventurous as I am, I wore a graphic printed T and jeans. Nonetheless I was treated just as the rest of the customers were. Thanks for the fine dinning experience, Mike.

The prices are very reasonable for the type of environment Walter's Bistro is.

Walter's is my fave in C Spgs for special occasions. I took my husband there for his Birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The diverse menu is exciting, not terribly extensive but certainly had enough offerings to intrigue me. The escargot appetizer was delicious in well prepared garlic butter sauce. I wanted to try the bone marrow on toast points but we hadn't had Walter's escargot for a while and couldn't resist it. We'll have to return soon to try the bone marrow. The next course, spinach soup, may have been the best cream soup I've ever had. For entrees, my husband had the Scallops with risotto and I opted for the salmon with garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables. Both were exquisitely prepared. My salmon had a delicious, delicate. crust. The portions were appropriate and the service was impeccable.

I tried escargot here for the first time. I was told by my company that it was classic escargot and was not disappointed. The picture is their beet salad which was also fresh and fill of sharp flavors to accentuate the sweet beets. Service was excellent, and Walter dropped in to see how everything was. Divine!
