I went looking for a place to celebrate my birthday. Found it. This was a kool little restaurant. Katrina and Kevin were very helpful in choosing a wine. They were very attentive , their service was outstanding. Definitely a place I will return too.
The food and the service are fantastic here. Kevin helped us choose the right entrees and made our evening fantastic. Great place for a special date night. (Get a table by the fireplace:).
Excellent food. Excellent staff - friendly but not intrusive. Lovely building and decor. Very nice, interesting food that is, however, not pretentious - this seems to be a tricky balance, so it is nice to see it done well. Cozy atmosphere. 30 miles from my house, as I live in Colorado Springs. And yet, I will still make the trip because this is such a nice place. I will only do that if a place is very special!
I've been in Colorado now for two years. I have spent all of that time trying out new restaurants. After two years, and going to probably a hundred different restaurants, 'The Bistro on 2nd' wins my absolutely best award. While this is a high end restaurant the prices are not excessive. The food, however is simply insane. Every day of the week there is lobster bisque and lobster ravioli on the menu.
The lobster ravioli is by far the best I have ever had in my life. It's to die for. Do not miss!!
When our planned Christmas Eve dinner restaurant closed after taking our reservation and assuring us they would be open, we were left with nowhere to go trying desperately to find somewhere that wasn't booked at literally the last minute. Bistro first told us they were booked up, but shortly after a waitress ran outside and told us they could squeeze us in. The food was amazing, the service was prompt and friendly, and it was a kind act that our family won't forget. Merry Christmas, Bistro on 2nd.
