Please understand this: This restaurant has REALLY good food, perhaps the best in the county. It's somewhat frustrating, though, that they don't seem to follow their published hours and it's hit or miss to get to eat there.

Went out for breakfast. Like most places in these small towns we have out here in Colorado its a walk in and find a seat kinda joint. The menu is just right not to big not to small a good selection of whatever you might be in the mood for. Service is the best, Micheal Dean makes sure you feel like family when you visit. Food was served fast with local fresh options to add, meal was delicious and i will definitely be going back to try anything else on the menu i can. Would recommend for any group. And also check out the items he has for sale around the store local vendors as well as his own skill at pottery. Prices are unbeatable.

I went today for breakfast and he "threw together " an egg white, sausage, green chili hash with grilled hatch chili's on the side and some peach bread he made. Well in actuality he scratch made everything. No U.S. Foods or Sysco delivery trucks here. Everything is sourced local right down to the meat from the meat processor in Florence. He is a fun guy to chat with while eating. If you are in the area there is ample parking as well as in or outdoor seating. Check it out!

Micheal Dean’s Cafe is a true hole in the wall must visit!! The food was delicious and everything is made from locally sourced products! The owner Micheal Dean was super friendly and even gave us some freshly made pistachio cake to finish our meal, made from a long time family recipe. I highly recommend the onion rings and brisket they were DELICIOUS.
