Tequilas Family Restaurant Rifle

The cheese dip was delicious. The lunch prices were really good for the portion given. They give you chips, salsa, and a cabbage salad with nopales. The service was ok. Everything was hot and really good. Would come again

Stopping for the night in this small town, there weren't many choices for dinner after checking into our hotel. So, we were glad to see Tequilas open right across the street. Since the weather was nice, we sat outside on the patio. Our waitress was friendly and always approached us with a smile and sweet disposition. She made our dining experience pleasant! The salsa was delicious, and most of the food was good, although the chili relleno was not flavored to my liking. The shredded beef taco was good, except it had a hint of a strange flavor mixed in like perfume or something. It's just not what I'm used to or expected. They have 2 types of chili rellenos, soft and crispy. My husband tried the crispy, and he said it was good. Oh, and the plates of food are gigantic, so you will get your money's worth!

In all the years we've gone to Tequilas in Rifle we have NEVER had a bad meal. It's absolutely wonderful and their margaritas are the best. I tend to stick to most of the shrimp meals, but my husband usually orders something different each time. The baby octopus is amazing. For most of our guests and celebrations, we end up at Tequilas. We highly recommend!!!

Expensive “gringo” fare. Chips not homemade and thin, salsa with no heat and whipped cream & chocolate on the flan. The soup was good but too large (& expensive). The small half lime was inadequate to flavor it. There was a bright spot, a cabbage slaw that was delicious. Strangely it was served with the flimsy corn chips. We asked for a second bowl and just ate it with a fork as a side.
The staff was attentive and nice. I wonder if they know how bad the food is.

Traveling through with my wife on our honeymoon. Tried a couple places they were either too busy or closed. Ended up going to Tequilas. They offer large portions at very reasonable prices. Good service and food is out of this world! Will definitely stop in if ever in the area again.
