Home Cookin Cafe

I was scheduled to conduct two days of interviews at our local warehouse, but due to circumstances beyond our control, I was forced to find a substitute interview location within an hour.

The kind staff at Home Cookin' Cafe welcomed me in immediately that day and then allowed me to use their banquet room the following day to conduct all of my interviews. Each day, the ladies were SO kind and attentive to make sure I had a drink the entire time. One of the gals even brought me a banana in between interviews to make sure I was held-over until lunch.

When I did finally get a chance to order lunch, I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak with fries. The fries were freshly made and FANTASTIC with their homemade ranch. The Chicken Fried Steak was a decent size and battered well with a good amount of gravy. It was delicious! I certainly didn't leave hungry!

I've vowed to return each time I'm back in town to say "hi" and have lunch with these phenomenal ladies who truly went out of their way to take care of me and the candidates I was interviewing and make me feel at home!

Don't pass by the Clarion Inn without stopping in to see these gals!!

We had breakfast this morning; I had the Benedict Florentine and my husband had the 2-2 French toast, eggs, and bacon. Both of our meals were delicious, and made with good ingredients. The service was great. The friendly hostess greeted us right away, and the waitress was quick, but didn’t make us feel rushed. She was warm and friendly; we felt like part of the family. Everyone working there was genuinely happy to be there. I will go back soon.

A must visit. Food is delicious and they have a healthy food option! Staff made us feel at home. We will definitely go back.

Finally...a cafe that doesn't try to massage biscuits and gravy. Simple biscuits, good gravy with plenty of sausage chunks. Eggs cooked perfectly, plump, juicy sausages. Also ordered a club sandwich that was too big to finish. Good prices, friendly service, loaded with customers. Only wish they'd do real fries instead of frozen crinkle cuts!
