No frills, nothing fancy. Just good honest diner food. Large portions. So you will not leave hungry. Parking is a little odd. But I would definitely eat here again.

I was in the mood for a hearty breakfast. I thought that I might whip something up tasty and breakfast-y in the kitchen, until I remembered that the only thing I could cook with any degree of success was cereal, so I thought this would be a good time to take a drive to see what I could find.
As I was doing a slow roll down West Colfax, I happened to come across a little diner called "Hits The Spot, and decided to see if their monicker aptly described the food I was about to enjoy.
The place was reasonably busy for a weekday, but I had no problem getting seated. The Waitress immediately came over and asked if I would like coffee -- yes, and then offered me a menu. I saw the usual breakfast items, but what caught my eye, were the pork chops and eggs, a no brainier, decision made.
I didn't have to wait long for my order to arrive, two grilled pork chops, three eggs OE, and an order of home fries. They were delicious! The chops were cooked to perfection, the eggs and home fries also done right, and I also had a choice of toast or pancakes which was a no brainier as well, as I had a side order of pancakes.
The whole atmosphere took me back to a simpler time, as I can recall my Dad taking the whole family out for Sunday breakfast to a diner similar to this one, and the families I saw sharing the space with me told me that I had made the right choice in stopping by for breakfast.
Food, service, were absolutely the best, and if you were looking for a new place to try out for a family breakfast, or just go solo at the counter, you would well served to try out a little diner on West Colfax that really does "Hit the Spot. Bravo Zulu, guys!

Hidden treasure. Real potatoes for the hash browns. Great flavor. Amazing cinnamon roll French toast. Friendly waitress even though the place was super busy and keeping her hopping. Very good prices for such quality food.

Food was delicious - tasted fresh and made from scratch. Maybe we picked a bad day to try it but service was very slow. Overall though it's a great value.

I’ve lived in Denver/ Edgewater for 30yrs. Never came in here because I thought this was a part of the sketchy motel next to it and from the road it looked tiny. Finally came in for breakfast. Wow ! Great food, awesome waitresses, and was deceptively large inside. If you like Pete’s kitchen on East Colfax you will love this place. I will def be back !
