Willy's Wings

This place is an institution. Growing up in Denver in the 80’s and 90’s, there wasn’t a lot of wings options. So we’d trek out here to get our fix and I continue to do so to this day! From college parties in Boulder, graduation parties from high school to college, to celebrating a great ride to red rocks, Willy’s Wings has been a constant. I look forward to visiting when I’m in the area or need a good excuse to trek for great wings! I personally love the extra hot and spicy bbq.

Pretty good boneless wings! Not the best I've had before but probably comparable to Buffalo wild wings. The lunch deal (runs 11 am-3 pm) is a bargain at $9.70 includes 10 wings (traditional or boneless), drink and fries. Can get busy during lunch but the lady at the register was doing her best. Service was just okay. Limited to one drink refilll, but it should be enough for most folks.

Drowning in sauce which is the only way wings should be served. We also saw that they were preparing the wings fresh to be fried. Fries let something to be desired with the lack of crunch. Overall the wings are high quality and they had good service even when super busy

Got 20 pieces wings and family-size fries with BBQ and spicy BBQ sauce on the side. With the sauce on the side, it's pretty apparent that the wings themselves weren't seasoned at all. That said, the sauces were very tasty and the spicy BBQ had a good kick to it. The fries were nice and crispy too.

So in fairness, if ordered normally, the meal would've been perfect so I'm still giving 5 stars.
