My family and I went two weeks after 773 opened in February (once they started letting non-members make reservations).

The views at both TPC restaurants are great, you can't beat them. We love eating outside at Center Stage in the warmer months. The steakhouse was clean & set up very nicely, and our waiter Paul was great. He was super friendly, good with descriptions & recommendations, and it never felt like we were waiting for water/bread/etc.

We started with an amuse bouche - which I appreciate and think it shows a higher class restaurant - but it was not appetizing at all. I actually didn't see them bring it out to tables that came as we were leaving, so I'm wondering if they scratched it because they realized that. It was a foie gras on bread and it tasted extremely fishy, I think a lot of people (at least that I know) that wouldn't be comfortable eating foie gras anyway. They also brought out bread with a few dipping options and two were great, but the anchovy option was pretty bad (this coming from someone who likes anchovies).

My dad ordered a sazerac (which was on the menu) and about 10 minutes later we were told they had no courvoiser because the kitchen had taken all the cognac for dinner. I thought it was a little crazy for a steakhouse bar not to have cognac, and pretty unprofessional of the kitchen to not communicate this with the bar earlier. The bar manager came over and apologized which was nice. They had a good wine selection and my husband liked his old fashion.

My husband got the lobster bisque and it honestly was pretty gross. The waiter explained they blend the lobster into the bisque, so it was more of a squash bisque color and the consistency was too thick, it wasn't appetizing at all. I've never had it served this way (and we order it basically anywhere it's serve because it's my husband's favorite) and everyone at the table agreed the best part of lobster bisque is the chunks of lobster, so if you can't afford to put that in the soup then it shouldn't be on the menu in my opinion. The bowl it was served in also felt cheap, which was an odd touch at a nice steakhouse. I did notice the plate selection was all over the place quality-wise. The shrimp cocktail was nothing fancy, I've had a lot better quality shrimp at other steakhouses and the cocktail sauce was very bland but I asked for raw horseradish so that made it a little better. We did love the bacon wrapped dates but the dipping sauce wasn't great.

Prior to us coming, we saw they had tomahawk steaks on the menu so we were excited to get one of those but they had been taken off by the time we dined there. I'm assuming they didn't sell fast enough and were too much to store then throw away if they didn't sell? My husband was surprised not to find lamb on the menu, especially living in Colorado, but I'm hoping they add that in the future. I'm also hoping they add creamed corn or some kind of corn side and they can incorporate Olathe corn on their menu. My steak came out cooked as requested and the crab oscar topping was nice. I got asparagus as a side and thought it was good. The mushrooms were okay, potatoes weren't great.

My husband had the salmon and it was the best dish by far (even out of the steaks) as far as presentation & taste goes. The creme brulee was perfectly nice too.

I'm going with 4 stars instead of 3 because they had just opened and I'm hoping they work out flaws going forward. The meal was just okay, no dish we had was amazing or I'm craving to have again but none of the main dishes were bad either. Plus the hostess and wait staff was extremely kind and that's always a plus. I'm hoping they improve because it would be nice to have a good steakhouse close by because right now our best options are Boulder or Denver.
