    Make sure to read the reviews before judging the food!

    People are just grumpy that La Esmeralda's food is so good that he sells out and doesn't keep the store open.

    The food is delicious! If you're lucky enough to be there when they're open try the barbacoa, you won't be sorry!

    A gem found in Estes Park! Delicious large tamales and a great variety of salsas. They also had barbacoa!!! All they needed was some pan dulce. ;) I’ll be back!

    Delicious food !!!
    When they're open...
    Honestly this place is my favorite burrito in Estes Park, but they are never open.
    The inconsistent hours & small menu are the only reasons I don't give this place 5 stars!
    Get some help guys ! I'm willing !????

    We first experienced La Esmeralda Tamale House at the Farmers Market in bond Park Estes Park. I am excited to find the small cafe (located on the drive just below the Safeway) to be able to visit regularly. The tamales are a little different in that there is no sauce, but the Masa is spectacular and the flavor of the tamale is amazing. At the farmers market and at their local cafe that they sell out of their tamales and burritos very quickly. They have several tamales and burritos to choose from. They also have several salsas, homemade tortillas and chips. I have found the staff to be very kind and the service to be excellent.
