I love Estes Park Colorado. The food was great I had an elk burger it was great. My wife had a regular hamburger that was good aswell. I think it is the views , mountain air, and excellent cooks. That makes everything better.
Great food, great place. Couldn't give more than 4 stars though. We were seated immediately which was great, but it took over 5 minutes to even get drinks and they weren't busy at all. But aside from that the food and atmosphere was awesome.
Small local spot for some quick food. Service was great! Not a fancy setting but booths you could just settle down in and relax after walking the strip. We had buffalo and elk burgers. The buffalo burger was great! The elk burger had a little bit too much of a wild game taste for me but it had a unique flavor. It wasn’t bad, it was just different. If you’re in Estes Park, you can’t pass on it though. They had a few games in the back for kids and several TVs around a bar area. Front area closest to the strip was unfortunately all tall tables which rules out the fresh air if you have little ones who may fall off a tall bar stool. Still a fun place with good food and service.
While I didn't love the look of the place--we only ate there because my son's feet hurt too much to keep looking--and while I think the dishes are a little over-priced, I was impressed with what I ordered. I had the chicken salad sandwich with chips. The bread was a little dry, and I couldn't tell if it was meant to be toasted or if it was stale, and I didn't get an option for whole wheat bread. However, the chicken salad tasted like homemade (but I think it had nuts for those of you with allergies, so be careful), and the potato chips both looked and tasted like they were fried fresh in-house that day. Both were just delicious. I had my mouth full when the manager (I think) came by to ask us how the food was, or I would have told him so.
