Food is great, service is good, but prices are a tad high. Two tacos is about $8, I am a three taco guy so I am in the $12+ range for a meal. Would love if they offered a combo that brought the price down to be more in line with similar fast casual restaurants.
But, Chipolte is not offering individual, super tasty and unique tacos like Torchys does
Really delicious tacos, with a wide variety of fillings and sauces. The meat was tender, and flavorful. A little high priced for the amount of food you get. Over 10 bucks for two tacos and a water. Still worth an occasional treat! ????????????
Despite the recent health inspection, the food has been very good. Especially since the inspection I think there has been a large improvement. The staff are super friendly and the facility seems cleaner. I really enjoy the atmosphere inside the space. It has been rather disappointing that the torchy‘s feel is no longer there. It feels very much so like a Corporation and less like a small business. It was very disappointing that Maine Root sodas were removed and Coca-Cola was the replacement. I’m really hopeful that one of the monthly special tacos will be vegetarian or vegan soon.
I really love to eat here, but the recent reviews and health inspection was concerning. I still went anyway. I was disappointed to find that Maine sodas were replaced with Coca-Cola. It feels very much so that corporate torchy’s has gone very corporate. It doesn’t feel like a family place anymore. The Austin feel is gone. But I will say the fried avocado tacos are delicious and hopefully a taco of the month will be vegetarian someday.
If only their patio was dog friendly if give them 100 stars. We get food to go and head to the dog friendly brewey nearby. Food is some of the best out there. Great variety with options ranging from bold and spicy to tame and mild. Salsas and sauces are equally as varied and delicious. Everything was delicious and service was friendly and competent. The building is new and had a very clean and unique vibe. They have a bar and are centrally located. Check them out if you haven't and go back if you have. (No dogs on the patio is a huge bummer though) we'd come so much more if the patio was dog friendly.
