I love when you come in, you see all the classic signage and antique decor. Everyone is in good spirits. Smiling and welcoming. They have an extensive menu so there is something delicious for anyone and everyone. The prices are very reasonable. Good service. A very well established place w many faithful customers. My husband and I are now 2 more! :)
I would have given five stars for my delicious soups salad lunch, but there was two small omissions that tried to spoil an otherwise outstanding meal. I almost finished my soup and salad before I could flag down someone that was not my food server. I do not like that phrase, but they used this term, “food server,” themselves. I had not received the dinner roll listed in the menu. It appeared quickly and was hot and yummy. But, it came without butter! Again, I stopped someone, my waitress this time, and got butter after all of the wonderful heat had escaped. No soup or salad remained and not heat in an otherwise great dinner roll. Yes, I said waitress instead of food server! I, of course will return to this wonderful four star restaurant, and will hope for five stars.
13 of us met there for breakfast on 12/15/19. Our daughter called the week before to set up a reservation and the night before to confirm. Common courtesy. They had us all seated at 9:00 sharp. Great waitress. Very clean. Very busy but everything was under control. The food was great! Some had pancakes, French toast, steak and poached eggs, and omelettes. Relaxed and fun.
Large portions and reasonable prices along with attentive service make this a great breakfast choice in Loveland. I had the chicken fried steak. It was alright although not crispy at all. It was a bit thin. The gravy was good and the home fries made the dish. The sourdough toast didn't taste like sourdough at all. The diner coffee is excellent. We'd go back. You get exactly what you pay for here.
